What Ridgeland is like
Ridgeland is a city of about 24,750 between Jackson to the south and Madison to the north. It's the metro's shopping center for a lot of people, with Northpark Mall, Renaissance at Colony Park and the mixed-use Township at Colony Park, where homes, restaurants and offices share walkable streets.
The city says it has gone more than 36 years without raising its property tax millage.

Old Trace Park sits on the Reservoir and hosts the Mississippi Symphony's Pepsi Pops. The Natchez Trace Parkway runs through town, with the Bill Waller Craft Center showing work from hundreds of juried Mississippi artisans.
